E-mail comments to Pat Fay

Thirty-eight years ago in 1967, Tusculum View opened its doors as an innovative elementary school that drew national attention.  Both the school’s physical design and curriculum departed drastically from the tradition elementary school model. By changing the design of the school, Tusculum View's building costs were dramatically reduced.  The entire cost of the building and its furnishings was $594,836.

Many new and fresh ideas were incorporated into Tusculum View.  New to the world of education at that time, were open classrooms, team teaching, a non-graded curriculum, and a satellite kitchen.
