Edit and correct your rough draft

Transitions – used in the first sentence of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, paragraph and throughout you paper.

FANBOYS  - for and nor but or yet so   If you have a list of three or more, you need a comma before the fanboys.  A complete sentence on each side of the fanboys, you need a comma.  Fanboys can’t start a sentence.

Make sure you acknowledge the counterpoint.

Am, is, are, was, were, be, being, been – Count up the total and get rid of 2/3.

Vivid Vocabulary – you should have at least one word is each sentence that it specific.

Supporting details – Do you have at least one of the following in your paper:  expert testimony, definition, witness statements, personal anecdote, facts or statistics, authoritative quote.

Try not to use YOU, YOUR, YOU’RE,  YOU’LL

Make sure you have five ( the magic number) paragraphs, your name on the paper, a title that gets the reader’s attention.
