Click on one of the links below from Spoon River Anthology or choose your own from the site.  Copy and paste the poem and explain who this person is and what happened in his/her life.  Additionally find any figurative language and identify it.  You may write your explanation out right next to the line or lines you are explaining.  Make sure you include what you think his/her life was like (hard, lonely, happy) and why you think that.

When you are finished, write your own epitaph/obituary/tombstone poem about any famous or infamous person.  Type it on the same page.  It must be at least 12 lines long.  Remember that you are writing it from the person’s point of view.  Finish for homework if necessary by saving it in Gaggle.  Due Wednesday.
