Dear Parent,
St. Augustine once said, the world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only a page.
Our children need to see the world -- and we can make that possible! From June 2, 2005 to June 15, 2005, I will be leading a 13 day tour of Spain including three days in Paris, France and a day in Morocco. We are very excited about these plans. I, for one, have always dreamed of expanding my classroom to actually see and touch the things that we have learned about in our lessons. And now here is the opportunity!
We will have another meeting soon, so keep watching for more information.
We will visit many famous sites like Europe's highest capital, Madrid, with its amazing history in La Plaza Mayor, the famous Prado Museum, home of Las Meninas, famous work of Valásquez, Morocco, Tetouan, a North African town with its breath taking architecture, snake charmers and camels, the Alhambra, and many other wondrous sites.
We chose the EF Tour company because we believe that they offer the best tours for an excellent price. We compared tours and prices and are very comfortable with this choice. Other groups from GHS have traveled with this company and have always been satisfied. The cost of the 13-day tour is $2,163 for students and $2,543 for adults and includes airfare, all fees, hotel accommodations, daily breakfast and dinner, entrance fees to select attractions and guided sightseeing. We will be departing from Knoxville so there will be an additional fee for transportation to Knoxville, but this cost will be minimal.
Over three million students have traveled with EF since 1965. They are a company we can trust. They have all the details down to an art, including preparation and planning. In addition, we will be accompanied by a full-time EF Tour Director for the entire stay in France,Spain and Morocco.
If you would like to participate in this tour you will need to
1- register online at this address: http://www.eftours.com/public/home.asp The tour number is XXXXXX(please email Mrs Reed for this number) . The registration fee is $95 and can be paid online with a credit card.
2- An installment of $400 dollars is due by August 30.... only a couple of weeks away. This will lock in the price of the trip.
3- The remainder of the balance is due on February 23th. So you may pay as much or as little for the next few months, as long as it's paid before the deadline.
Sincerely,
Doris Reed, Spanish Teacher
