Students and faculty in the twelve career and technical education programs at the Greeneville-Greene County Center for Technology celebrated National Career and Technical Education Week February 12--18, 2006. One of the special activities celebrated was a bowling party for members of the four

student vocational organizations.
It has been noted the role technical education and its industry/business partners play in helping youths and adults achieve career success in the world of work today.
According to the Association for Career and Technical Education, research shows that many of the

country's fastest growing occupations require the technical skills taught in technical education programs. Research also shows that among the high school graduates entering the workforce, those with a technical education background earn more in the workforce than those without this advantage.
