BPA Students Earn State Awards

The Center for Technology vocational student organization, Business Professionals of America,  has returned from the 2003 BPA State Conference and Competition in Nashville. The competition took place on March 5--8. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Sue Southerland and Mrs. Glennis Huffman.

Representing the Center for Technology from the Information Management Systems and Administrative Management Systems classes were: Thomas Fillers, Bethany Hensley, Jeremy Reeves, Trey Ricker, and Amber Woodward. Each of these students received the Statesman Torch Award. This award involves

Caught Doing Good

Assistant Principal, Mrs. Judy Carpenter has implemented a new staff recognition program called "Caught Doing Good''. Staff are recognized with a certificate for going above and beyond in showing professionalism,

thoughtfulness, student involvement, etc. Two staff members were recognized on March 14. Randy Wells was recognized  for staying involved in his student's activities outside the classroom such as attending sporting events at the home

high school. The other staff member recognized was Terry Nickels for volunteering his Criminal Justice students to "police" the parking lot during the Preschool Trike-A-Thon. Congratulations!
