Dinosaurs

We have a great time studying dinosaurs. Children seem to be mesmerized by the large and strange creatures. We choose a dino a day and covered the most popular ones: T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus (long-neck), Triceratops (three horns); and also talked about what they ate meat or veggies and what each used to defend themselves with.

Center Ideas:

Sand and Water: put sand in your table along with plastic dinosaurs or dog bones and let the children be paleontologist.

Writing: word cards for children to copy-prehistoric, dinosaur, reptile; stencils to trace of dinosaurs

Art: stencils to trace and color or paint; we made dinosaurs t-shirts using fabric paint and paper plate stencils the children loved them!

Math: we made an egg matching game with different cracks in them for the children to match correctly.
