"Girls on the Run"
at
Hal Henard and Greeneville Middle School
The Hal Henard Elementary and Greeneville Middle School “Girls on the Run” were celebrated by the central office staff on Friday, January 18, 2008.  The girls and their sponsors were nominated by Mrs. Jeannie Woolsey, Coordinated School Health Supervisor.  The Girls on the Run program encourages pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running, being positive about one’s self and towards others.  The girls completed their program by participating with their sponsors in the Jingle Bell 5K Run in Jonesborough.  Dr. Lyle Ailshie, Director of Schools, also ran with the girls on that date.  We are proud of these young ladies for their positive attitudes and perseverance in being “only the best!”
