The
Greeneville City Schools
Board of Education hosted a
legislative breakfast on
February 8,
2008 with Representative David Hawk,
Representative Eddie Yokely
and
Senator Steve
Southerland. The
school system and Board of
Education provided this
forum so that area educators
could meet and discuss
educational issues of
concern to them.
In addition
to Greeneville City Schools
Board members and
administrative
personnel,
members of the Greene County
Board of Education,
representatives of the
Greeneville Board of Mayor
and Aldermen, and Greene
County Partners-in-Education
were
in attendance.
The
main topics of discussion
centered around the new school
support law and use of excess
lottery funds.
